Don’t set resolutions - set intentions with smaller achievable steps.
The statistics for keeping to your New Year’s resolution are not so good, so many are not bothering with the new year, new me these days.
When it comes to health & fitness, setting goals is still important as is finding your why in the first place, but focussing on the process of getting there instead of only the end goal will raise your chances of success.
I believe in setting an intention and making it realistic and manageable, so maybe it could be a weekly intention of sticking to a routine with balanced eating, planning what you will eat, buying it and prepping it so you don’t forget to eat or carry on with the take outs.
With fitness, it can be looking ahead at your week and seeing where to fit in sessions and booking them so you have set the intention to go. If you don’t book in the chances of it happening will decrease.
With your mindset it’s often harder to get back into an exercise routine after the holidays, but booking a session in will create the habit sooner instead of putting it off for another week.
At V Health & Fitness there are regular classes that you can book into and a couple of workshops in January that aim to help you set that intention to improve your health, move with purpose and take that jump to put your health & fitness first not just for the new year but for life.
Our New Year, New Flow retreat on the 11th Jan is all about setting intentions with movement which can help you plan your goals and why. Only 4 spots left so grab your place!
This coming week classes are available Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
